Position Purpose

We’re looking for a versatile storyteller and mission-driven marketer — someone who can bring a variety of stories to life across multiple channels while keeping our brand voice consistent, warm, and engaging.

As our Content Marketing Specialist, reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, you’ll support the day-to-day execution of social media, email, web, and digital campaigns that connect with external audiences while also supporting internal initiatives and events. From campaign concepting to copywriting, design, and performance tracking, you’ll help bring the Heartland story to life in ways that build trust, strengthen culture, and drive engagement.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a marketing generalist who’s equal parts writer, creator, and strategist. This is a full-time remote role.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Social Media – Plan, create, and schedule content that engages and provides value across platforms, aligned with campaign priorities and brand voice
  • Email Marketing – Build, write, and design email campaigns that nurture leads, support initiatives, and drive measurable engagement.
  • Website & Digital Content – Develop and optimize web pages and landing pages that showcase our culture, programs, and mission.
  • Internal Marketing Support – Create presentations, internal communications, event materials, and campaign assets that support company initiatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Brand Execution – Ensure consistency across all content by leveraging established templates, guidelines, and messaging frameworks.
  • Collaboration – Partner closely with the Director of Brand Marketing, VP of Marketing and key internal stakeholders.
  • Performance & Optimization – Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on data and insights.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to create high-performing content across social, email, and web.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Design fluency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and using templates effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to take ownership and the humility to seek feedback.
  • A growth mindset — coachable, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Pay Range:

USD $65,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
