Position Purpose

Reporting directly into Heartland’s CHRO with a dotted line into the Brand Marketing Manager, the Candidate Experience Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing a seamless, engaging, and inclusive experience for candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle. Sitting within the Heartland Recruiting team, this role partners closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and marketing to ensure every candidate interaction reflects our values and strengthens our partnership with our practices. This is a full-time remote role. Candidates located within Heartland's footprint will be prioritized.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Activates, manages, and continuously improves all aspects of the DVM candidate experience by leveraging automation tools, data-driven workflows, and process optimization, from initial sourcing efforts through day 1 onboarding.
  • Partners heavily with the Brand Marketing Manager to manage consistent engaging employer branding across career pages and job boards, job descriptions, recruitment campaigns, campus events, social media, and email communications; collaborates with Marketing to produce recruitment content.
  • Partners with DVM sourcing team to deploy segmented, automated communication campaigns using the CRM and ATS; ensures messaging aligns with our company and individual practice values and strategic hiring needs.
  • Partners with the DVM recruiting team, creating and actively managing all DVM requisition job postings.
  • Partners with veterinary career development and marketing teams, helping to execute campus collateral and events; helps plan and execute recruiting events (virtual and in-person), ensuring a compelling presence and seamless experience for attendees. Manages lead capture, follow-up workflows, and campaign attribution.
  • Creates and manages candidate experience surveys, analyzes results, and delivers insights to Recruiting and Marketing teams to drive improvements.
  • Supports the onboarding of DVMs and Practice Managers managing the gap between offer acceptance and day one onboarding.
  • Actively works in recruiting ATS and CRM to execute campaigns, manage requisitions, maintain candidate pipelines, and support recruitment event tracking and follow-through.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting, recruitment marketing, marketing automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience improving or managing all aspects of the candidate experience with a focus on systems, automation, and data
  • Excellent process orientation, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to tone and audience across multiple channels and digital platforms.
  • Experience managing events and campaigns in an ATS and CRM; iCIMs experience preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally and aligning technical efforts with recruiting and marketing priorities
  • Experience activating pre-built marketing materials, managing digital assets, and executing multi-step campaigns
  • Passion for building scalable, inclusive, candidate-centric hiring experiences using tools and insights.

Pay Range:

USD $80,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
