The veterinarians and staff of Winchester Pet Care have been working to keep pets healthy and happy since it was founded in 1992. We are a full-service veterinary clinic offering a range of services, including routine vet care, boarding, daycare, and so much more.

Winchester Pet Care is a full-service veterinary practice offering everything from wellness and preventive care to dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, diagnostics, boarding, and daycare.

About the Role:
As our Managing Veterinarian, you’ll play a dual role: trusted clinician and dynamic leader. This position is ideal for someone who loves practicing high-quality medicine and is ready to lead a team with vision, purpose, and heart.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical and non-medical leadership for the practice
Manage, mentor, and support associate veterinarians
Ensure veterinary standards and regulatory compliance are upheld
Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and teamwork
Guide the strategic direction of the practice and help advance medical care offerings
Monitor the practice’s financial performance and contribute to growth planning
Maintain an active caseload and set the clinical tone through leading by example

About Olathe, KS:

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to canine and feline patients
Perform diagnostics, interpret results, and recommend treatments
Conduct surgical and dental procedures (as comfortable)
Communicate clearly and kindly with clients about care options
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold ethical standards
DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited program
Active (or eligible) Kansas veterinary license
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; leadership experience preferred
DEA/BNDD eligibility
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills
