Overview
As a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will provide quality care to patients and empathetic service to clients. You will partner with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to operate as an efficient and productive team.

Practice:
Swaim Serum Co. originated in the 1940s when the Swaim family opened a store in the retail market. It wasn’t until the 1990s that the Swaim family expanded into the veterinary industry. Swaim Serum Co. has been servicing the Oklahoma City and surrounding areas since then and have many long-time clients who travel to see us!
We are a multi-doctor practice located in the heart of Oklahoma City. Our newly renovated hospital now houses 8 exam rooms and plenty of space to do multiple procedures at a time. We have a variety of skill levels in the practice that helps cultivate a very dynamic, collaborative environment. Our primary focus is Small Animal Preventative Medicine but we do see a high volume of Internal Medicine cases.

Part-Time Associate Veterinarian – Swaim’s Veterinary Clinic | Oklahoma City, OK
At Swaim’s Veterinary Clinic, our story is rooted in tradition but fueled by innovation. What began in the 1940s as a small family-run supply store has grown into a thriving multi-doctor veterinary practice serving the Oklahoma City community for generations. Families who trusted us with their pets decades ago still come through our doors today, and we’re proud to be a place where relationships, medicine, and history all come together.
We recently completed a full hospital renovation, giving us 8 modern exam rooms and ample space for high-quality care. Our team is a dynamic mix of skill levels and specialties, which means collaboration and mentorship are at the heart of how we work. While we focus primarily on small animal preventative medicine, we also manage a high caseload of internal medicine, making each day full of variety and growth opportunities.
Now, we’re looking for a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian who shares our passion for people and pets to join our team.
Essential Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
Deliver high-quality medical and surgical care to companion animals
Diagnose, treat, and manage cases in preventative and internal medicine
Communicate openly and compassionately with pet owners about care options
Perform soft tissue surgery and prescribe medications when needed
Guide clients through difficult end-of-life decisions with empathy
Keep thorough and accurate patient records
Uphold the highest standards of veterinary ethics and patient care
Requirements/Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
DVM or equivalent from an accredited AVMA institution
Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Oklahoma
DEA/BNDD eligibility
Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset

Pay Range:
USD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.Success Profile
