SmartVet Veterinary Services is looking for a Mobile Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Normal, Illinois! If you love building meaningful relationships with clients and pets, enjoy variety in your day, and are looking for a role that offers a little more freedom than the traditional hospital setting, mobile veterinary medicine could be the perfect fit.
Our mobile veterinary services allow us to bring compassionate, high-quality care directly to pets in the comfort of their own homes. We are excited to continue growing this part of our practice and are looking for a veterinarian who wants to help us expand the ways we serve pet owners throughout the Bloomington-Normal area and surrounding communities.
About SmartVet
SmartVet Veterinary Services is a unique and growing practice focused on making veterinary care more accessible and convenient for the families we serve. Our team understands that not every pet—or pet owner—thrives in the traditional clinic environment. Mobile veterinary care gives us the opportunity to meet our patients where they are while still providing thoughtful, personalized medicine.
As a Mobile Veterinarian with SmartVet, you’ll have the opportunity to develop lasting client relationships while caring for pets in a more relaxed environment. Your days may include wellness and preventative care, minor illnesses, chronic disease management, quality-of-life discussions, and other outpatient services appropriate for a mobile setting.
You’ll have the independence that comes with working in the field while still having the backing and resources of the SmartVet team.
About the Team
At SmartVet, we believe great veterinary medicine starts with a great team. We value collaboration, communication, flexibility, and creating an environment where our doctors feel supported.
While this position offers plenty of autonomy, you won’t be practicing on an island. You’ll have a team behind you to help with scheduling, client communication, coordination of care, and the day-to-day pieces that allow you to focus on being a veterinarian.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently but also enjoys being part of a team and contributing ideas as we continue to develop and grow our mobile veterinary services.
About the Position
Our ideal Mobile Veterinarian is compassionate, adaptable, and comfortable connecting with clients in their homes. Whether you already have mobile veterinary experience or are simply looking for a different way to practice medicine, we’d love to talk with you.
This could be a great opportunity for a veterinarian looking for:
- More personalized time with patients and clients
- Variety and independence throughout the workday
- A break from the traditional hospital environment
- A schedule that allows for greater flexibility
- The opportunity to help grow and shape a mobile veterinary program
- The support and resources of an established veterinary team
Schedule flexibility is important to us. We are open to discussing full-time or part-time possibilities and creating a schedule that works for both the veterinarian and the needs of our growing mobile service.
