Overview

As a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will provide quality care to patients and empathetic service to clients. You will partner with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to operate as an efficient and productive team.

Southside Veterinary Center in Moultrie, GA, is a full-service veterinary center for companion and farm animals.

It is our commitment to provide the highest standard of care for pets and exceptional customer service to their owners. We offer a full range of services, including wellness exams and vaccinations, preventive care and consults, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and early detection and management of chronic diseases.

We primarily serve companion animals. You'll have access to the tools, support staff, and resources needed to practice medicine confidently while maintaining your own clinical style and autonomy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to companion animals.
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and interpret laboratory and imaging results.
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment options, and wellness recommendations.
  • Perform surgery, dentistry, and medical procedures based on experience and comfort level.
  • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing patient care.
  • Provide compassionate guidance and support for end-of-life decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver an exceptional patient and client experience.
  • Adhere to veterinary ethics, hospital policies, and applicable regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active veterinary license in Georgia or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA registration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional approach.
  • Ability to lift and carry patients and equipment, with assistance as needed.

*Sign-on and bonus packages are subject to applicable terms and may be adjusted in cases involving external recruiting agency agreements.

Pay Range:

USD $115,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
