Experienced DVMs & New Graduates Welcome

Looking for a practice where you'll have the support to keep growing, the freedom to practice great medicine, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together?

At Southside Veterinary Center, you'll join an established practice that has built lasting relationships with families throughout the Moultrie community. Our doctors collaborate, talk through cases, share ideas, and support one another while still having the autonomy to practice medicine in their own way.

For experienced veterinarians, that means the freedom to bring your skills, interests, and ideas to the table. For new graduates, it means having experienced doctors around you who are invested in helping you build confidence—not expecting you to figure everything out on your own.

Why Southside Stands Out

  • $115K–$150K base + production
  • Up to $75K total bonus package
  • Strong, hands-on mentorship for new graduates
  • Clinical autonomy with experienced doctors available when you need another perspective
  • Collaborative team that enjoys working through cases together
  • Modern equipment and technology to support high-quality medicine
  • Loyal client base and established community relationships
  • Flexible scheduling that supports life outside of work

Essential Responsibilities:

Practice Medicine Your Way

At Southside, we want our veterinarians to have the freedom to practice medicine with confidence while knowing they have a team to lean on when they need it. You'll have the autonomy to make clinical decisions, build relationships with your clients, and continue developing the areas of medicine that interest you most.

Whether you enjoy surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, preventive care, or want to expand your skills in a new area, we want you to have room to grow.

  • Practice with clinical autonomy and make decisions based on the needs of your patients
  • Develop your own approach to client relationships and case management
  • Pursue the areas of veterinary medicine that interest you
  • Collaborate with experienced doctors when you want another perspective
  • Continue building your medical and surgical skills with support from the team
  • Provide thoughtful, individualized care throughout every stage of a pet's life

Requirements/Qualifications:

Could Southside Be the Right Fit?

We welcome both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who care about providing great medicine, building strong client relationships, and being part of a collaborative team.

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active Georgia veterinary license or ability to obtain one
  • DEA licensure or eligibility to obtain
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • A collaborative approach while bringing your own ideas and style to medicine

Whether you're looking for a place to continue building an established career or the right team to help you start one, we'd love to get to know you.

“I love working at a Heartland-owned practice. They let us be ourselves with the support of a corporation. My relationship with our regional director is genuine and supportive. It’s obvious anytime company leadership addresses the practices that they genuinely care about our wellbeing and make decisions with our best interests in mind. We are extremely lucky to work for a company this down to earth.”
