Essential Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injury.
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.
Provide compassionate guidance and care during end-of-life decisions.
Maintain accurate patient medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, laws, and hospital policies.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Requirements / Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Active or eligible Florida veterinary license.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD license.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, courteous, and team-oriented demeanor.
Ability to lift patients or equipment up to 25 lbs. independently (and over 25 lbs. with assistance).
