Beginning back in 2008, our once small practice has now expanded greatly over the last 15 years to accommodate nearly 35 staff.
Family has always been at the center of how Palms West Veterinary Hospital operates, and it shows in the number of clients we have grown to see over these years. At Palms West Veterinary Hospital, we believe in treating every pet like family—and that philosophy extends to our team! Established in 2008, our once small clinic has flourished over the past 15 years, growing into a thriving practice with nearly 35 dedicated staff members. With a client base of over 30,000 pets (and counting), we take pride in offering compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to the communities of Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, and Loxahatchee, FL.
We offer appointments and walk-in visits six days a week, providing a welcoming environment where both pets and their owners feel at ease. Our general practice includes in-house diagnostics and a variety of surgical services, ensuring comprehensive care under one roof.
The Managing DVM is responsible for providing medical and non-medical leadership for the practice, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance relating to veterinary medicine. The Managing DVM is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork and collaboration in which quality medicine is delivered. Additional responsibilities include guiding the direction of the practice, advancing medical care, and monitoring the practice's financial performance.

Essential Responsibilities:Your Role & Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations and treatments for companion animals, diagnosing illnesses and injuries with care and precision.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and interpret results to create effective treatment plans.
Guide pet owners through preventative care options and treatment recommendations.
Perform surgical procedures and prescribe necessary medications.
Offer compassionate counsel on end-of-life care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records.
Uphold veterinary ethics, legal regulations, and hospital policies to ensure best practices.
What You Bring:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Active state veterinary license.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD certification.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A professional, compassionate, and collaborative attitude with clients and team members.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and over 25 pounds with assistance.
