Isanti Pet Clinic is a hometown veterinary practice established to provide excellent wellness and medical care for dogs and cats. We love practicing in our small town. We have built great relationships with our clients. We take care of several generations of clients as well as caring for many of our own family’s pets.

Position Purpose:

We are ready to add another experienced veterinarian to our team! We are a successful, steady-paced, team-focused small animal practice eager to welcome a new generation of veterinarians!

Within the cozy confines of our practice, we have a supportive and collaborative team that is always willing to learn new skills and keep up with the latest medical practices. About the area: Isanti is located just north of the Twin Cities. It is a tight-knit community with plenty to do for everyone. It is known for its specialty stores in the historic downtown area where you can get anything from groceries to hardware without taking on large mega centers. There are over 260 acres of park and recreation land with 30 miles of trails to hike and plenty of fishing holes in between. Additionally, there are many sports complexes, play structures, and picnic areas to experience. Essential Responsibilities:

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients’ medical records.
• Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state licensure.

• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
