Isanti Pet Clinic is a hometown veterinary practice established to provide excellent wellness and medical care for dogs and cats. We love practicing in our small town. We have built great relationships with our clients. We take care of several generations of clients as well as caring for many of our own family’s pets.
Isanti Pet Clinic was started in 2014 as a satellite clinic to Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital. Our mission is to practice the highest quality family veterinary care by continuing our commitment to education and maintaining excellent relationships with specialized medicine.
We are looking to add an experienced veterinarian to our team to take on the role of Managing DVM!
Our current leader, Dr. Amy Green, is on the cusp of retirement and is ready to pass the torch to a growth-minded veterinarian. We are a successful, steady-paced, and team-focused small animal practice ready to welcome a new generation of leadership!
The Managing DVM is responsible for providing medical and non-medical leadership for the practice, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance relating to veterinary medicine. The Managing DVM is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork and collaboration in which quality medicine is delivered. Additional responsibilities include guiding the direction of the practice, advancing medical care, and monitoring the practice's financial performance.
About the area: Isanti is located just north of the Twin Cities. It is a tight-knit community with plenty to do for everyone. It is known for its specialty stores in the historic downtown area where you can get anything from groceries to hardware without taking on large mega centers. There are over 260 acres of park and recreation land with 30 miles of trails. There are many sports complexes, play structures, and picnic areas to enjoy. If you want to take a trip to enjoy the attractions of the big city, Minneapolis is less than an hour's drive away!

- Schedule: We are open and flexible to your schedule needs, offering a fixed 4 or 5-day workweek with no weekends or on-call.

- Management: Maintain an open line of communication with your leadership team. You will be heard and taken seriously!

- Professional growth support: Medical autonomy, support of new implementations brought to the practice, workshops, and retreats dedicated to professional development.
- Mentorship: Whether you are new to a managing DVM position or not, you are encouraged to participate in our multi-day training to learn the business end of practice management. We want to make sure you are fully supported in your new role!
- Helping Hands: Have an adequate number of skilled support staff by your side, with a 1:2:2 doctor-to-tech/assistant ratio. Focus on your patients, and let your techs do what they do best!

Essential Responsibilities:- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
