Independence Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Independence, KS area for everything pet-related.
Our practice is a full-service mixed-animal hospital and will see routine appointments, surgical cases as well as offer acupuncture services. Our in-house capabilities include digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound, cold laser, indoor stocks, outdoor pen area, hydraulic tilt chute, and an OB chute.
Our doctors are supported by our experienced credentialed technicians, assistants, and practice manager.

Since 1982, Independence Animal Hospital has been caring for pets, livestock, and exotics across Independence and beyond. Led by the knowledgeable and kind-hearted duo of Dr. Bolton and Dr. Woofter, our team is known for providing top-notch care with a personal touch.

Essential Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
Diagnose and treat a variety of animals – from beloved pets to barnyard regulars
Perform soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures
Collaborate with clients on preventive care and treatment options
Maintain detailed patient records with a focus on quality and compassion
Be part of a team that truly supports one another (no egos here!)
Requirements/Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited school
Licensed (or eligible) to practice in Kansas
Comfortable working in a mixed-animal practice (experience preferred, but mentorship available!)
Clear communicator with a compassionate, team-centered mindset
Bonus: experience or interest in large animal or exotics medicine
