Overview
As a Veterinary Technician with Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will be trusted with seamlessly blending patient care and client service. As the backbone of our clinical endeavors, you will support all aspects of our veterinary practice and enable us to provide veterinary care to the communities we serve. Whether educating clients, assisting in surgery, or caring for hospitalized patients, you will be at the center of all practice happenings.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in veterinary medicine, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for animal care. You will also be expected to be a team player and a self-starter.

Grove City Veterinary Hospital has been serving the pets of Grove City, Ohio, and surrounding areas since 1975! Since then our team has grown to include two full-time veterinarians and a well-trained staff of veterinary nurses, assistants, and customer service representatives. We’re dedicated to serving cats and dogs in the Grove City, Ohio area and beyond with passion and expertise.

- Organization Skills: Clear tracking of lab specimens, medications, patient instructions, workflow, and other job-related items while managing multiple patients and clients.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensuring all activities and interactions result in the highest level of client satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures.
- Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, and provide client education.
- Prepare and monitor patients for anesthesia and surgery.
- Collect and process laboratory samples; perform in-house diagnostics.
- Take and maintain radiographs using proper safety protocols.
- Administer medications, vaccines, anesthesia, and treatments as directed.
- Provide safe animal handling (using Fear-Free and Low Stress Handling techniques) and compassionate patient care.
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
- Communicate clearly with doctors and team members regarding patient care plans and client concerns.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Current state credential (CVT/LVT/RVT) in the state of employment.
- Strong anesthesia, surgical, laboratory, and nursing skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (more with assistance).
- Commitment to OSHA safety standards and proper PPE use.
- Basic computer proficiency, working knowledge or willingness to learn EzyVet PiMS software, Vetcove Home Delivery, PetDesk, and Idexx bench top machines, as well as proficiency in calculating accurate medication dosage calculations.

Pay Range:
USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.Success Profile
