Overview

As a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will provide quality care to patients and empathetic service to clients. You will partner with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to operate as an efficient and productive team.

Practice:

The Cat Clinic of Destin is a full-service, feline-only veterinary hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We serve clients from the entire Emerald Coast region including Okaloosa and Walton County.

We've provided advanced diagnostic procedures with our digital radiology, ultrasound, and in-house state-of-the-art laboratory since April of 2000.

For more than 25 years, The Cat Clinic of Destin has been dedicated exclusively to cats, providing advanced medical, surgical, and dental care in a calm, low-stress environment designed around the unique needs of feline patients.

We're looking for a Managing Veterinarian who wants to remain hands-on clinically while helping mentor fellow doctors, support medical excellence, and foster a collaborative team culture. You'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the practice while continuing to do what you love—practicing exceptional feline medicine.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for feline patients, including wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, treatment planning, and surgery

  • Lead by example, helping establish and maintain the highest standards of feline medicine and patient care

  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians through collaboration, coaching, and professional development

  • Partner with hospital leadership to support medical excellence, practice performance, and team success

  • Build lasting client relationships through preventive care education, treatment recommendations, and compassionate end-of-life guidance

  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports exceptional patient outcomes

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and medical standards

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements

  • Experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited program
  • Active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
  • Collaborative, positive, and team-oriented approach to patient care
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed

Pay Range:

USD $115,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
