Our mission at the Animal Clinic of Casselberry is to provide compassionate, quality veterinary care for every pet who walks through our doors. We are committed to treating each animal with the same level of care and respect that we would want for our own furry family members.
Position Purpose:
Great Medicine. A Great Team. An Opportunity to Lead.
Managing DVM | Animal Clinic of Casselberry | Casselberry, Florida
Competitive Compensation + 20% Production | Sign-On Bonus Package | Additional MDVM Leadership Incentives
For more than 40 years, Animal Clinic of Casselberry has been a trusted part of the community, caring for generations of pets and building lasting relationships with the people who love them.
Now we're looking for an experienced veterinarian to join our established team as Medical Director.
This is leadership for a doctor who still wants to be a doctor. You'll continue seeing patients, working through interesting cases, and performing surgery while having a meaningful voice in the medicine, mentoring fellow veterinarians, and helping guide the continued success of the hospital.
You'll have the clinical autonomy to practice medicine with your own judgment, the opportunity to collaborate with a team that's already doing great work, and experienced operational partners behind you when you need them.
Whether you've already held a leadership position or you're an experienced clinician ready for the next step, we're interested in what you can bring to the team.
What makes this opportunity different?
- Practice with clinical autonomy — your experience, judgment, and medical voice matter
- Lead without leaving medicine behind — stay actively involved in appointments, cases, and surgery
- Join a great team — step into an established, collaborative hospital with people who care about their patients, clients, and one another
- Mentor through everyday medicine — share your experience through case discussions, collaboration, and hands-on support
- Build on more than 40 years of trust — become part of a practice with deep roots in the Casselberry community
- Have support behind you — partner with experienced operational leadership while maintaining your clinical voice
- Make leadership sustainable — flexible scheduling and personal time away leave room for life outside the hospital
If you're looking for more influence without giving up the medicine you love, this is an opportunity to have both.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Impact You'll Have
This role is about more than overseeing medicine. You'll be right there practicing alongside your team while helping create the kind of environment where great medicine—and great people—continue to thrive.
- Be the doctor other doctors can turn to — collaborate on challenging cases, share your experience, and help fellow veterinarians continue building their skills
- Keep doing the medicine you love — see appointments, manage cases, and perform surgery while staying connected to your patients and clients
- Help set the standard for great medicine — bring your clinical perspective to medical protocols, quality of care, and the continued evolution of the hospital
- Turn everyday moments into mentorship — sometimes development happens during a case discussion, in surgery, or through a quick conversation between appointments
- Have a voice beyond the exam room — partner with hospital and operational leadership on goals, opportunities, and the future of the practice
- Protect what makes this team special — encourage the communication, collaboration, and mutual respect that allow great teams to stay great
- Build on relationships that already matter — continue the trust Animal Clinic of Casselberry has built with local families for more than four decades
Requirements/Qualifications:
Could This Be Your Next Step?
You don't need years of management experience or a long list of leadership titles.
We're looking for an experienced small-animal veterinarian who knows good medicine, is comfortable in surgery, works well with others, and wants the opportunity to have a greater impact.
Maybe you're already mentoring without calling it mentorship. Maybe you're the person your teammates seek out when they want another opinion. Or maybe you've already held a leadership role and are looking for one where you can stay closer to medicine.
Either way, we'd like to meet the veterinarian behind the résumé.
You'll need:
- DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program
- Active Florida veterinary license or ability to obtain
- DEA licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Previous small-animal clinical experience
- Confidence in general medicine and surgery
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, team-first approach
Benefits Offered:
Benefits That Work as Hard as You Do
Taking on leadership should bring more opportunity—not just more responsibility.
- Competitive compensation + 20% production
- Sign-on bonus package
- Monthly MDVM leadership stipend
- Quarterly MDVM bonus opportunities
- Flexible personal time away — because your life outside the hospital matters
- Flexible scheduling — helping you build a career you can sustain
- Medical, dental & vision coverage
- 401(k) & Roth 401(k) with employer match
- Continuing education support to keep growing the way you want to grow
- Licensure and professional dues reimbursement
- Ongoing MDVM leadership development
- Employee Assistance Program & mental wellness resources
- DVM referral bonus program
You already know how to be a great veterinarian.
If you're ready to use that experience in a bigger way—while staying surrounded by great medicine and a team you'll be proud to lead alongside—we'd love to talk.
