Advanced Veterinary Care Groupis an innovative new concept designed to redefine how high-quality veterinary healthcare is delivered. The Care Group is like your “partner across the hall,” a team of highly experienced and competent general practitioners with special interests in several key areas of medicine.

Position Purpose:

About Us

At Advanced Veterinary Care Group (AVCG), we operate a unique, referral-only model with a primary focus on surgical care and outpatient diagnostics. Serving communities across Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and even Canada, we are the go-to partner for primary care veterinarians who want affordable, expert surgical solutions without the cost of a board-certified specialist.

Our practice is staffed by experienced veterinarians who thrive on hands-on surgical cases and a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture. We believe in empowering doctors to lead, not micromanage. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team committed to clinical excellence and personal growth—all while serving a true community need for high-quality surgical services.

Why Join Us?

  • Surgical-Only Caseload: Focus solely on what you love—surgery. No wellness visits, no dentals, no GP constraints. Expect 2–3 surgical procedures per day, including TPLOs, lateral cruciate, FHOs, splenectomies, and stenotic nares.

  • State-of-the-Art Equipment: Full TPLO setup, in-operative digital radiographs, surgical laser, and ultrasound services performed in-house with radiologist interpretation.

  • Unique Practice Model: We're not a specialty hospital, but we operate with high surgical standards at a more accessible cost—filling a critical gap in our region’s veterinary care ecosystem.

  • Great Schedule: Enjoy a four-day workweek (Tuesday–Friday) with no weekend shifts. On-call coverage is shared and only required for urgent surgical needs.

  • Supportive Team & Culture: After addressing past team issues, we’ve rebuilt with a focus on open communication, no drama, and mutual respect. Our team includes experienced LVTs (one in the process of re-certification), a veterinary assistant, and a committed receptionist.

If you’re a veterinarian with strong surgical skills and a passion for orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, Advanced Veterinary Care Group offers a rare opportunity to focus your career on the cases that matter most to you.
