Overview

As a veterinarian at Heartland Veterinary Partners, you will provide quality care to patients and empathetic service to clients. You will partner with other veterinarians, technicians, and client service representatives to operate as an efficient and productive team.

Job Details

Practice:

Since June of 1982, The Southside Veterinary Clinic has been here serving Bixby, Broken Arrow, Glenpool, Haskell, Jenks, Mounds, and the surrounding communities.

We are equipped to provide dog or cat wellness care, dental cleaning, x-rays, and routine spay and neuter as well as other surgeries. We also provide high rated boarding services at our onsite kennel.

Since 1982, Southside Veterinary Clinic has been a trusted name in compassionate, community-focused veterinary care. Nestled in the heart of Bixby, Oklahoma, our close-knit team provides comprehensive care to pets of all ages—from bouncy puppies to beloved seniors.

Led by Drs. Riley, Metcalf, Gregg, and Milligan, we’re proud to offer a full spectrum of veterinary services, including surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, wellness visits, senior pet care, and boarding. We thrive on building meaningful, lasting relationships with our clients and their furry companions—and now, we’re looking to welcome a kind, curious, and collaborative Associate Veterinarian to our team!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • What You’ll Do:

    • Deliver high-quality, empathetic care to cats and dogs

    • Perform surgeries, dental procedures, and preventative medicine

    • Interpret diagnostics and communicate results clearly and compassionately

    • Educate pet parents on treatment options, wellness protocols, and senior care

    • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records

    • Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure top-notch patient care

    • Offer guidance on end-of-life decisions with sensitivity and respect

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • What We’re Looking For:

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited school

    • Active (or eligible) license to practice in Oklahoma

    • DEA/BNDD eligibility

    • Strong communicator with a positive, team-oriented mindset

    • Passion for delivering personalized, high-quality veterinary care

    • Ability to lift 25 lbs (or more with a teammate’s help!)
