Job Details

Practice:

All God’s Creatures Veterinary Hospital was established in 2015 by Dr. Scarlett Timmons and her family with the goal of providing full-service quality veterinary services at an affordable cost. All God’s Creatures specializes in preventative medication, and we are passionate about educating the public on heartworm prevention, vaccination, and spay and neutering. We also are passionate about animal rescue and welcome the local animal rescue groups who need veterinary services.

Position Purpose:

Interesting Cases. Collaborative Medicine. Room to Grow.

All God’s Creatures Veterinary Hospital in Augusta, Georgia is looking for a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our team.

We’re a busy small animal practice with a varied caseload, from wellness and sick visits to same-day emergencies, dentistry, and surgery. Our doctors have the freedom to practice medicine their way while working alongside a team that collaborates, shares ideas, and comes together when the day gets busy.

More About This Role

Our doctors typically see 15–25 cases per day, with approximately 2–3 technicians or assistants per doctor. You’ll have designated surgery days and the opportunity to manage a variety of medical and surgical cases.

Our DVM team brings interests in feline medicine, dermatology, ultrasound, and exotics, creating plenty of opportunities to collaborate and continue developing your own clinical interests. There is also demand for exotic animal care in the area, so we'd especially welcome a veterinarian with an interest in exotics.

Procedures performed at the hospital include spays and neuters, mass removals, pyometras, C-sections, foreign-body procedures, cystotomies, amputations, and dentistry.

The typical schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with one weekday off, with flexibility available. Doctors receive a lunch break, and there is no on-call requirement. The hospital is currently closed on weekends; however, a doctor who hospitalizes a patient may need to provide weekend care. The practice may also consider adding Saturday morning wellness appointments in the future.

New graduates will have mentorship from doctors who already collaborate on challenging cases, review radiographs, and share ideas. Experienced veterinarians will have clinical autonomy along with opportunities to continue growing their medical and surgical skills and help develop the support team.
